We went on this cruise because we were joining my brother & sister-in-law for their anniversary. We are in our 50's and traveling without children. We were not really impressed with this cruise. We've been on others that were larger ships and they had so much more to offer.
The staff were very good, friendly, and hard working. We didn't read the fine print that there'd be a corkage fee of US$15 for a bottle of wine brought onboard at embarkation, even if you were just going to drink it in your room. Most other cruise lines allow you to bring some wine onboard without a fee as long as you drink it in your room. Of course there'd be a corkage fee if brought to a dining room. So this was very annoying as we're not heavy drinkers and the drinks onboard were very pricey, plus an automatic 20% gratuity added.
We arranged our own excursions instead of using the ship's because they were so much cheaper. Roatan was awesome! We hired a private driver (roatanadventuretours.net) to tour us around the island and this was the highlight of the cruise. In Puetro Limon (Costa Rica, we did the ziplane & canal cruise and that was very good as well.
We had an inside cabin. It was very small. The toilet was positioned so close to the wall that my husband had to sit sideways to keep his knees from hitting the wall.
Tourist trap.
This again felt artificial and like a tourist trap. 3 ships in at the same time.... : (
