I had never cruised Norwegian and wanted to give it a try. Well, I won’t cruise with them again! The service was HORRIBLE!! Very few servers taking drink orders on pool decks. On the entire cruise I was only able to order from a server from my chair twice! The first time I had to flag him down and then got an attitude. The second time I never got my drink and ended up having to go to bar after waiting 15 mins. Well, going to the bar was not much better. I even commented to people next to me, “am I invisible?” Bartenders rarely made eye contact or even acknowledged my presence standing there. Was celebrating my bday the first day so planned dinner at Cagneys. Provided the hostess with the birthday card they left in room as it said to do. After we finished our dinner, desert as well, they delivered a small cake to the table. No candle or singing. Very uneventful. I even said I can’t eat this now we just finished our meal and desert. They brought a cover for the plate it was in so I could take to room. Well the server, whose English was not very good, said something and made us fell like we couldn’t carry to room that he had to. Well I wasn’t planning on going to room but my travel partner was so she walked with him. She said when she got there he just stood there. She assumed for a tip but we didn’t ask him to take to our room. He made us believe we couldn’t take so needless to say she didn’t tip him. Last night the toilet overflowed in cabin. I called and reported. After about 10 mins with nobody there to fix and water pouring onto and covering bathroom floor I called again. Someone finally showed up about 10 mins later. After fixed nobody came to room to clean the floor!!! The food was pretty good and the entertainment was great. But, when I’m on a cruise I want service! Especially this cruise as I was nursing an injured knee and didn’t want to keep getting up and down to get a drink! I was not the only person complaining about service. All but one person I spoke with said the same thing. HORRIBLE, even rude sometimes, service. My first and last cruise with Norwegian.
