Highlights
- sailing though the NZ Fjordland National Park on the bow- stunning!
- Tasmania is gorgeous and we loved the wildlife (kangaroos, koalas, wombats etc)
Great view, comfortable, however - connected to the Atrium, very loud music heard in the cabin.
X installed sliding doors, great idea, however, they open even if someone just walks past, so you'll have loud music for 5-10 sec, then silence, then music, then silence, then...
If you're fit, hike up Mt. Maunganui. Lots of sheep , beautiful view over Bay of Plenty, water stations on the board walk to fill your bottle.
Took the Sky Bus from the airport to the pier.
Even though it was bright and early, the pier workers actually took our luggage from us, so we could walk around with just a backpack!
Beautiful place, friendly locals, recommend the coffee bar right at the pier and the Maritime Museum.
Check in was fast, courteous, and we went right onto the ship (we showed up around noon)
Gorgeous place! Hiked to the lighthouse, up a hill near a sheep farm, and then walked through town.
I'm glad Christchurch will open again as a port and thus they will leave the locals alone.
Magical! Watched from the bow, they gave us blankets and hot chocolate and head phones. Wow it was ..cold..!!! At the first rain shower, most went inside and we had the bow to ourselves.
Worth the whole cruise!!
IMO, the most beautiful of the sounds. Doubtful Sound was nice, and so was Milford, but Dusky is something special.
Had a nice walk in town, looked at the railway station and the art exhibits they had inside. Took the local bus back and forth from Pt Chalmers.
Our friend picked us up. Went to Bonorong Wildlife Park. Awesome to feed a kangaroo, just very crowded there.
She's from up north, so we took a tour bus through Hobart. Unless you hop on and off, you don't get to really take pictures since it goes pretty fast.
We also went to Richmond and had lovely lunch at a pub. Good local brew as well!
