Chose this cruise as it was a bargain. 2 x nights in Venice, 5 x day med cruise, 1 x night in Genoa. We had obstructed outside cabin. Opera is a very clean and tidy ship with an excellent crew. We purchased a drink package that was 29 euros plus service charge per night. I think we broke even and possibly drunk more than we would have done if we had just paid for drinks as we went. The entertainment on the boat was not the best but nether the less acceptable. The ship was full mainly of Italians and Germans us brits were in the minority. We ate in the main dining room for every meal and thought that the food was good but not gourmet. This was our first MSC Cruise and overall thought that it was value for money but not up to P & O standard and worth doing again. We were supposed to stop at Kotor but due to bad weather did not visit. Thanks to the captain and staff we made an unscheduled visit to Messina and did an organised trip up Etna.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom

Smallest cabin we have ever had, this was our 10th cruise. We had nowhere to place one of our cases as it would not fit under the bed. You could not see anything out of the window as a lifeboat obstructed the view. The cabin was kept spotless by the cabin staff. We had a minor problem with the sink plug that was sorted in an instant. We slept like logs, the bed was so comfortable.
