We wanted a quick getaway leaving from the port in our home city, and I wanted to see San Fran again. Overall, the cruise was great, as it always is with Celebrity. Great food & service.

The main dining room had delicious food, of course. Our servers were great. But there was an overall confusion when we dined there. One night, we were there over two hours because the food didn't come very quickly at all. Long gaps between appies & entrees, and some at our table ordered an extra lobster tail, and they didn't come out until we were all done our meals. Very chaotic.

We didn't take in any shows but heard from others that they were great, especially the comedians. My hubby enjoyed playing poker in the casino. I just enjoyed relaxing and reading, as I usually do.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Typical balcony cabin, awesome room steward.

Our cabin steward, Benedict, was amazing. He even noticed that my husband added an extra cover on his side of the bed and put a warm blanket there for him every day. We always get a Concierge Class cabin and the shower was the best, could have stood in there for hours. Benedict also brought me a body pillow when asked and that helped make my sleep that much better.

Port Reviews

Santa Barbara

It's a tender stop which is always a pain. And this was a long tender to get to and from the ship/dock. We took an excursion, to Solvang. Cost $98/pp and is not worth it to go to a rip off, tourist town. I highly recommend you not take it.

Victoria

We walked as the shuttle to downtown was a major ripoff at $30 for the two of us. But Victoria itself is always lovely. We've been there many times on our own and I recommend the Royal BC Museum and Craigdarroch Castle.

San Francisco

We did our own thing. Rented a car to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge. Went to Golden Gate Fields racetrack (good food there) and of course, horse racing. Next day rode the cable cars (huge lineups, FYI), shopped at Union Square and Pier 39. Highly recommend a visit to Boudin's sourdough, be prepared to eat a lot of bread!

Los Angeles

Got to use Uber for the first time, loved it. Went to Santa Anita Racetrack. Amazing place with amazing history for we horsemen. LAX was a disaster, but it probably usually is.
