We are Elite with Princess and have never experienced as many problems as we did with this cruise. Embarkation was fine and smooth. We were told the rooms would not be available until 1 pm but we could go and drop stuff off in them. Our Suite was ready but noticed a few things missing. Those being the fruit basket, our second mini-bar and the pamper pack in the bathroom. We did enquire about all three to be told the fruit basket was not done anymore, except it is still on the website as a perk, the pamper pack is the sleep pack on our bed - no that is not correct, and the second mini-bar would be delivered when we had consumed the first one. So off we went to Guest Services and they arranged for the mini-bar to be traded for two coffee cards.

Tried connecting to the Medallion internet but it would not recognise my credentials. Went for lunch and purchased the soda package but had to carry around the receipt if I wanted a drink as the whole system was down. They apparently were still trying to convert the system from US to Australian. Took all day and was only ready after we sailed. Went to muster and ordered two Lemon Lime & Bitters to drink before it started in the Explorers Lounge.

Checked my account the next day and was horrified to discover that we had been charged for the coffee cards and $32.00 for the drinks in the Explorers Lounge. Off to Guest Services where we are told the coffee cards will be removed tonight in the update but yes we had to pay for the drinks as they had Vodka in them. I exploded at the lady and said don't you know what it is in a Lemon Lime & Bitters? It is not Vodka and as I don't drink, and have not for the past 40 years, I think I would know if there was alcohol in it! After much arguing they agreed to remove the charge. As most people know that drink is in included in the Soda package we had purchased so they really had no choice but to remove it.

Cabin Review

Premium Suite with Balcony

Cabin was fine except for not getting two of the perks that were suppose to come with it. We didn't get the pamper pack in the bathroom - told that they are not doing them but a steward was seen with them in his hand the day before disembarking. No fruit basket as people take the fruit ashore - could have ordered fruit and it would be cut up and sent to our cabin - what is that? Whole fruit can be taken from Horizon and used the same way so why were we penalized?

Port Reviews

Willis Island

Waste of time - you go pass and they talk a little about what the one building on this very small island does - 15 minutes - not worth the effort!
