The ship is beautiful and the food at the specialty restaurants was interesting and delicious. Be sure to book early! The waitstaff catered to our every need. The "adult" pool is a bit too small for the size of the ship. Though children are not supposed to use the adult pool, no one is assigned to check so I was forced to put up with others' kids. Likewise for the hot tubs. The entertainment was first-class. The performers were so talented and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed every show. There were plenty of bars with comfortable seating but some of the bartenders could be more friendly. The ports of call were just so-so, very, very touristy and the excursions could add significantly to the cost of the cruise...pay close attention to the excursion reviews and be selective. Sometimes I find it better to hire a driver/taxi to take me to what I want to see. If you stay in port, you will not get the flavor of the culture. All in all, despite shortcomings, I'm a fan of the Breakaway.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Well appointed, clean and spacious enough for 2 occupants, though there wasn't much room for luggage.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

There is a large, beautiful pool. Use of the pool is free but you have to rent chairs or buy drinks. There is no beach to speak of. For that, you must purchase an excursion or hire a taxi.

Cozumel

Very, very touristy. Expect to be pounced upon by vendors. It was nice to walk through the shops but I'd recommend walking further to see some of the actual town.
