Cabin: Family Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was our first cruise ever. We paid for virtually every extra offered. We were never introduced or otherwise acquainted with our cabin service team. I was never able to get coffee from room service before 6:30am save for one time when I pleaded that it was just a large pot of coffee. There is coffee in the room but it’s those small single-use machines that aren’t helpful for anyone needing more than a cup or two. We did use the ship’s laundry service for some shirts, jeans and undies, but to pay €185.00 was astonishingly shocking. The bed was short even for my 5’10” frame. My feet hung over the end. The room was worn. It was was evident in the frayed mirror and other finishings. This being our first cruise ever, we expected something significantly better than what we experienced. We’d heard NCL was mid-level, but their marketing and hype was far short of reality, and for virtually every extra we purchased, we surely didn’t get what we’d paid dearly for.
