It was horrible from the beginning. MSC was NOT prepared to deal with NY. They did not make the right arrangements with the longshoremen and the Stevedore unions and got it stuck up where the sun doesn’t shine. No excuse they need to prepare. 3 to 4 hour waits to check in. People getting sick and requiring medical treatment. No priority boarding. It was a fiasco! They also were showing NY travel agents the ship and those people were getting off while people who had waited in line were trying to board. Not enough ramps not enough computer a complete disgrace.
Left over an hour late. They claimed that rough seas caused us to miss Sydney port of call but word has it they did NOT make proper arrangements to stop there and even Canada said the heck with you.
Most of the crew just arrived the same day, they were being shown around the next morning. No Satellite TV or sports broadcast. No NFL or College football, no baseball playoffs and NY Yankee fans were pissed and I don’t blame them. No news ! It was like we were lost at sea and we kind of were. MSC was in total disarray.
Ok room. Cabin Stewart was very good but had just gotten on the ship the night before.
He worked hard and long hours. Very pleasant. I tipped him well since he was one of the only people that appeared to try and do a good job.
Ok. But nothing to do at small paper mill town.
Cold rainy
Visited some friends. Even there they didn’t have enough boarding facilities and people were caught in cold and rain. Left a half a day early
New York is New York. MSC was not prepared
