Sail Date: Sep 2019

The first time we saw the Viking Sea was on "Mighty Ships" on TV. Right away we fell in love with the idea of trying it out. It seemed to us a the ideal ship for us: no kids, no Casino, no smoking, no bingo or any of the other circus attractions you find on other ships.

It took us a while but finally our 20th wedding anniversary was the ideal excuse for booking this trip.

The online portal helped a lot to organize most of the planning for activities on board (excursions, dining, spa). Also the live-chat was frequently contacted to clarify some details.

Port Reviews

Montreal

Guide walked to quick for most of the group, cut short the excursion by about 30 minutes because she was tired ...

Gaspe

One of the ports we only visited because of the changed itinerary. Not much to do, but the residents did their best to entertain us.

Portland (Maine)

Guide refused to use the QV headset devices and didn't know how to run the mic on the bus

Boston

Nice narrating, but the view to the airport and the 10-lane underground highway was mentioned about 25 times. Proud Bostonian!

New York (Manhattan)

Guide did his best to show as many highlights as possible. Difficult task in a City like New York.
