This is going to be a LONG review, and the reason is that we got so much from the Cruise Critic Member Reviews that we really want to share everything about the cruise that may be of interest to you.

BAYONNE: If you're going to park your car for the week - get in the right hand lane. The left TWO lanes are for dropping luggage and passengers. Stay right and you'll be directed into the parking lot. We pulled our bags the short distance to the terminal. The processing to board was easy and straight forward. Have your papers filled out before you arrive, keep passport in hand, and you'll be through it quick. You'll "pose" for the picture for your Seapass card. This makes sure that no one can use your card but you. Along with the card comes a cute little fold up map of the ship which has a pocket built in for your Seapass card. (I didn't figure that out till I saw someone else use it that way on the second day of the cruise.) This is really convenient. We were told to get to the pier at 6:00PM, but other cruise critics said to arrive early, and we did. Unfortunately, Voyager was late coming to port due to the hurricane, so although we arrived at 2:30, we didn't board till 4:45. Waiting in the embarkation area was the worst part of the whole cruise, and even that wasn't that bad. There was a band playing, food served, large screen TVs set to sports stations, and a "balloon animal clown" making time go a bit faster. We finally got onto a bus when our number was called, and transported to the ship.

DEPARTURE: Whatever you do, don't miss the ship going under the Varrazanno Bridge. We went to deck 12, and the crowd there "ducked" in unison as we cheered the ship's "near miss" of the bridge. This happens at the same time as the Mardi Gras parade on the Promenade deck. We saw the last of the parade and were still very glad that we saw the bridge instead.
