We booked our Norweigian cruise through AAA. Our travel agent was great. AAA does not book directly through Norwegian, they have to go through Pleasant Holidays. We had to sign a waiver to not hold AAA responsible for any issues that arise. I think I now understand why. AAA probably doesn't want to deal with unhappy customers. That should have been our first red flag. Here is a quick list of disappointments:

1. We booked a mini-suite. But it was underneath Splash Acadamy which is the children's play/daycare area. The hours vary. But some nights it is open until 1:30 am. This makes it impossible to sleep and naps nonexistent. There should be no rooms of any kind under Splash Acadamy! We did contact guest services. We were given an apology and sent a bottle of wine. We do not drink wine. FYI, the ship was at capacity so there was no possibility of a room change.

2. Bingo is a waste of money. For example, the jackpot was $3000. But after approximately 42 draws the pot dropped to $375. The venue was so full, players were standing. The House made so much money. It really sucked. There was only one game (full square), it was just a waste of $50. Not worth it for only 10 minutes and 1 game.

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

This particular room is directly underneath Splash Acadamy. It is sometimes open as late at 1:30 am. This makes it hard to sleep an almost impossible to nap after a long day onshore. I would avoid this and any immediately surrounding rooms. Cabi was nice and clean. The bathroom was a good size and comfortable to use. The balcony was a plus.

Port Reviews

Santorini

Loved Santorini! Don't ride the donkeys or walk up the steps. As you will step in donkey poo. Instead take the cable cars up the hill and back. Be prepared to walk very steep streets. Overall very beautiful.

Mykonos

Mykonos is more level and easily walkable. We stayed along the seaside. Lots to see and do on your own. The windmills are beautiful.

Argostoli (Kefalonia)

We did the cave excursions. Be aware there is a very long stairway down into the cave and you take the very same steep stairway up. The Melissani lake cave was amazing! Crystal blue water. Worth the long line to get down there.

Dubrovnik

Beautiful city! Was overwhelmed by its magnificent architecture and design. The wall is worth walking on a cool day. Bring a sun hat because there is very little shade up there!

Kotor

Very similar to Dubrovnik, it also has an ancient wall. Easily walkable. Hike the great staircase if you dare. Looked to be 10,000 stairs!

Naples

This was actually a very disappointing port. Not much there at all. Naples is very dirty and unkempt compared to the other cities we visited. We did manage to find a delicious restaurant.

Monaco (Monte Carlo)

Take a cab to the casinos! The walk is steep and long. Most casinos you have to pay to enter or gamble. The line to get back on the tender was an hour-long, be prepared.
