Reason we chose this cruise: It was in a day drive, low budget and fit into fall break for our teen.

Embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth and efficient.

Ship was old and dated and many of the areas on the ship had cosmetic issues - tiles off of walls, cracks and rust.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

The cabin was small and with third person in room felt even smaller. Water in the sink was rust colored and had a poor taste and smell. Also there was a smell from the drain area. Had to keep bathroom door closed.

Cabin stewards were average at best with service once a day - no turn down service and that meant the bunk bed stayed down for entire cruise. This made it very difficult to move around the cabin. Also TV was very small and hard to see. Also only one power outlet in the room.... this meant sharing between hairdryer, cell phones, my CPAP and other electronic devices. Not a good situation. We asked for a power strip or extension cord and were told none available.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We did Monkeyland and had a great time. Bomba and Polanco did great job as our guides as did the staff at Monkeyland
