Having been on several Viking river cruises and enjoying every one of them, a sea cruise was the next obvious step. The new ship is impressive, with great facilities for exercise, recreation and dining. It was good to have a choice of venues for meals, including a buffet with great views of the sea and ports. We had looked forward to going in the infinity pool on deck, and this did not disappoint, apart from being a bit smaller than expected. It was a strange feeling looking out with nothing between us and the sea below.

There was a very good choice of excursions. The Russian songs and dances show in St Petersburg was especially enjoyable.

The local guides were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the places visited. We especially liked visiting the Nobel Prizes museum in Stockholm, after a nice open sandwich in a pavement café.

Cabin Review

Nice cabin with good facilities and comfy bed

Port Reviews

Visby

Interesting and attractive place

Tallinn

Lovely town, and great gift shops

Stockholm

Interesting museums and other sites. We could have done with another day there.

All the crew are extremely helpful and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them.

I enjoyed visiting the gym, which is well equipped with state-of-the-art machines. I passed on the snow room, though!

Overall a great ship, crew, local guides and holiday.
