This was a bucket list item in that I wanted to visit Alaska (the only state I hadn't been to) and to experience the coast of Alaska. We did the land portion of our trip first and the cruise on the way back so it would be restful and that it was. The only disappointment was that the route is such that you only see minimal amount of the coastline and a lot of water. An up close view of Hubbard Glacier was probably the highlight of the cruise.

The ship is well maintained and is kept clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

If you are a foodie, this cruise is not for you. The food in the main dining rooms is good and the service very good. As for the buffets the food is average at best. Eggs are either under-cooked or over-cooked. Waffles, cinnamon and pecan rolls are hard. Omelettes are strange. Many of the drink machines did not function correctly which means you got flavored/colored water versus juice or drink. If you found a machine that worked you would continue to use it even if it meant going to the next dining room. For our vegan friends there was a choice of pasta, pasta or pasta.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Porthole Window

Cabin OG

The cabin was nice and clean the only issue is the sink drain stopper needed to be in place all the time or you could smell the sewer gases.
