Never having been to Dublin, we were excited to be able to spend a few extra days in the city (prior to and after the cruise).

Once on the ship, we had a terrific time. Although we totally agree with other reviews that the ship is not in perfect shape, most public areas are lovely (not public restrooms), the entertainment, service and food were great! We had anytime dining and always had a table for 7 or 7:15. Alex, our waiter was perfect and we decided to ask for him every night.

The itinerary was great with only 2 sea days.

Cabin Review

Oceanview

Cabin OB

Embarkation in Dublin was much more expensive than getting on in Southampton, so we exchanged our balcony for a window (not great weather to sit out anyway). The cabin was small, but we were comfortable. The shower drain was not working and it was then fixed.

Port Reviews

Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Gorgeous scenery - took the x99 bus at the port for 9 pounds round trip. Had prebooked the castle tickets. We walked up to the castle - if you can’t walk there are buses and taxis.

Cobh (Cork)

Booked on-line at e-coach (Butlers) - it was 59 pounds each and a very full day! Blarney castle was picturesque and Kinsale was a nice town. Drove through Cork, but no stop.

Southampton

Walked around High street - had done this on another cruise. Pleasant.
