Alaska cruise was great. The ship was extremely clean, the staff goes out of their way to be friendly, The entertainment was good in quality of shows and variety. The cruise from start to finish was well organized. NCL made it easy to get on and off the ship. The two big disappointments on the ship were 1. The food served on board the Jewel was a huge disappointment. NCL does a lot of things right but because the preparation and food was so bad we will never cruise with NCL again. If anyone from NCL is reading this don't take our word for it pull up a chair and dine in one of your restaurants. . I recommend starting in O'shea's. The 2nd disappointment was the smoke filled casino. I understand there are plenty of people that like to smoke while they gamble and I understand that. There are also some of us that don't enjoy cigarette smoke. How hard would it be to reserve a small section for non smokers. Other cruise lines do a much better job in accommodating smokers and non smokers in the casino area of the ship.

Our overall experience was great. We would not select NCL again on any of our future cruises for the reasons identified above.
