"15-day cruise with one day at sea and 14 days at ports in 14 different countries bordering the Baltic Sea" was the reason we selected this cruise during mid August through early September of 2019. NCL chooses to not pay the port fees for a convenient berth or mooring. Instead, at each of these 14 ports, the Norwegian Spirit pays the least amount of fee and in turn the Norwegian Spirit moors at a distant berth at each port.

Under these circumstances, passengers who do not pay an exhoribant fee for a NCL shore excursion are stuck at the port berth. Like other passengers, we had to hire a local taxi or pay for a shuttle bus in order to get to a train station to then be transported to a nearby destination.

At several ports, to get to the advertised destination we had to be very resourceful in figuring out combinations of transportation to take us to the advertised destination for that day. We used combinations of local shuttle bus, taxis, trains, trams and walking.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IE

Two single beds situated together. There were about 5 to 6 inches between the edge of the bed and the wall. The left hand side has an overhead bunk bed within a few inches of the edge of the bed. I kept bumping my head on the overhad bunk bed as I tried to squeeze along the wall to get out. Getting out of bed was especially difficult because there was a desk and chair blocking the way. The other side of the bed had a small table at the edge of the bed which was against the cabin wall. The shared close the the bathroom with shower were adequate. We did NOT get what we paid for with this small inside cabin.
