After reading the dreadful reviews on here we were dreading this Cruise. Well we had a fantastic time. Food great and I'm a very fussy vegetarian. Ship is beautiful and the staff were fantastic. We didn't even see the whole of the ship there's was so much to do. The ports of call were interesting but it's it's not a sunshine cruise. Easy to make your own way round or use the MSC bus shuttle. There trips were on the expensive side but this wasn't the sort of cruise you really wanted to do big days out. It was just a relaxing time. It was school holidays and the children didn't get on our nerves at all, most of the time the they were kept entertained by the wonderful crew. Yes the shows were a bit samey but still very good. We went for the basic drinks package, there might not be cocktails on it but there is mocktails and we just bought rum etc and poured it in and mixed. We never rushed to get off the ship, we took our time, we had no queuing at all and was very easy to get on and off the ship. We even bought our own booze on board, bags were never checked.
It took half an hour at Southampton to check in and get on board and our 1st drink.
Cabins were spotless and cleaners very polite and did a brilliant job. Go on this cruise with an open mind, we loved it.
Couldn't fault it at all.
We used the free shuttle bus and had a walk about.
We did a hop on hop off bus which stops at the cruise terminal, much cheaper than MSC. We had a great time, we went on the observation tower it's about €10 each, worth a go if your not afraid of heights.
Got on at Southampton, very quick and easy.
We got on the hop on hop off bus which stops outside the cruise terminal, it's a lot cheaper than MSC trips. We went on the observation tower it's about €10 each, worth it if your not afraid of heights.
