I was asked to accompany a friend and this was my first ever cruise. It was the best experience ever, From start to finish the whole experience was effortless. No queuing to board or disembark. Very calm and professional service throughout.
I did visit the gym once( to look around!) very well equipped but did not use it as I was relaxing but lots of people did.
I was fortunate enough to see dolphins and whales!! Food was amazing, so much variety and all freshly prepared with so much choice all day long. I was a little disappointed with the amount of children running wild in the evenings unsupervised but it was the last week of the summer holidays.I do think young children should be with adults on such a luxury holiday not pulling phones off walls and playing in the lifts but that’s down to the parents.
Very spacious. Loads of storage. Very comfortable beds. Great bathroom.towels were changed, if needed , twice a day. And kept spotlessly clean. ThNkyou Andreas, also Thankyou for our regular animal towel surprises
I caught the shuttle bus into the town, just 5 euros and very quick. Gibraltar was lovely. Very cheap shopping, loads of places to eat/drink and lots of bargains to be had.
Again stayed on board. It’s quite nice when the ships half empty and I have to confess relaxing is my holiday not walking about sight seeing.
Took the shuttle as far as les ramblers then hired Carlos and his tut tut bike to show us around the sights. Such a lovely way to see Barcelona! Your under a shade, fresh air as he cycles along. Will stop where ever you please and wait for you.You miss all the heavy traffic as he manoeuvers in and out of the quaint little side streets to get from A to B. Knows all the history of the city.
If taking a tut tut always ask for their ID and papers. There are lots of illegals with no insurance so if there was to be an accident your not covered.
Took the open top bus. Very crowded and hot and did not give us enough time to complete the tour before having to be back on board. Stuck in heavy traffic seeing hardly anything of interest. Ended up getting off and making our own way back by tut tut.
TIP take a tut tut but don’t hire the ones at the port side. These are twice the price of the ones just across the road. Definitely the best way to see around but do be careful that you have a reputable driver.
Quaint and pretty little town. Take the free shuttle bus every 20 mins to the town or walk down the lovely marina. Treat yourself to a crepe and lovely coffee. Pretty little shops dotted around. A very “safe” feeling to the town.
