My husband and I loved our last cruise to Alaska and wanted to try a Princess cruise due to their long standing experience in Alaska. We brought friends along, who had never cruised before, for a potentially wonderful vacation.

Sadly, after an efficient boarding experience and luggage delivery, our experience was not what we had hoped for. From the 'ripped up bath robe' to the 'standing room only' theater performances, we were disappointed. Even the route was disappointing since we did not travel the inside passage that we had so enjoyed on the previous cruise. The food was average and desserts were poor. "Any Time" dining translated to "By Reservation Only," as that was the only way our party of 4 could be seated in a main dining room.

The Deluxe Balcony room (an upgrade) was smaller than our usual balcony room with other cruise lines. However,it was clean and well maintained by our steward.
