We decided to cruise with my brother & sister-in-law when they booked an Alaskan cruise on Legend. We are not first time cruisers...we have cruised a few times before with another cruise line, so we had a chance to compare similarities and differences. Overall, I was a little disappointed with Carnival. The cabin was not very clean...you could see where there were stains on the wall where someone splashed something on it, and it was never cleaned up. Also, we found the bottom bed sheet to be stained/soiled...our room steward (who was wonderful) did replace the sheet with a new one. This ship also needs a major decorating overhaul...its decor was dated and gaudy looking.

The service on this ship was excellent. Overall, the food was very good, however I just wish they offered more variety of fruits other than melons every day. Our waiters in the dining room were fantastic. The photographers took pics every night in the main dining room, the constant interruption of dinner got to be a little annoying...we finally told them we weren't interested and they did respect that.

There was not much of a variety of entertainment to go to. We went to couple of comedy shows, which were not very good. We did go to an Epic Rock presentation that was fantastic...they also provided lectures and presentations from Nancy, the naturalist. on the geology and wild life in the area.
