Seabourn does it right. Wonderful service, great suite, great food, embarkation was a 15 minute pleasure. disembarkation went smoothly until the coach we were on had no more room for our luggage, so a little stressful waiting on the next coach to see if our luggage made it to the airport in Copenhagen. twenty minutes later it arrived on the next bus.

At our age, Mid to late 60s, jet lag from Georgia was a horror. Three or four days to fully recover.

All of the restaurants on the ship were great, and the service at most was outstanding.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

Cabin V6

Walk in closet with chest of drawers was terrific. We did not even use most of the outside the closet cabinets. Bathroom was exceptional with quartz and marble, dual sinks, bathtub (full size) and small shower.

Breakfast in room every morning was good. Some small glitches understanding iced tea were quickly corrected.

Only dinner in the room was not quite as advertised. The publicity detailed delivery by course, but in reality it all came at once, but was good.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

Interesting city, stayed at the Hotel Nimb, and it was terrific. The Gardens behind it were great, but we were too tired from travel to enjoy.

Newcastle (England)

great guide, wonderful castle of Harry Potter fame

Gothenburg

Went into town on the shuttle. Weather was bad, so decided after a brief time to head back to the ship.

Invergordon (Inverness)

Had a rental car and driver, Dunrobin is a terrific sea side location, and photos inside were allowed. Do not miss the falconry exhibition.

Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

THE most beautiful place. Booked a private tour with Scenic Shetlands. Ruth is so knowledgeable and great company as well. Took us to all of the most scenic places, and it is all scenic. Clear blue and green water, white sand beaches, and cliffs full of sea birds.

Bremerhaven

All of the tours except one were to Bremen, which was a 2 1/2 hour bus ride ONE WAY. Not interesting enough to spend 5 hours on a bus.

Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Seemed like a great city, but the Fringe Festival was in effect, bringing 800,000 extra tourists into the city. Could not take a cab anywhere near the castle. walked three miles uphill to get close enough for pictures. Unless you love being shoved around by crowds, do not go during the fringe festival. I would go back to see the many places we missed. I think that you could spend 3-4 days enjoying the city.
