We'd had a family member travel with Scenic before and preferred them over Viking because Scenic's prices are ALL INCLUSIVE. You won't spend another nickel for anything on the boat -- not drinks or excursions or bike trips. This takes the pressure off thinking, Should I do this? Everything is open and available.

The ship was sparkling clean and well-designed. Not brand new, but not suffering. Our cabin was well-organized and comfortable. The food on board was excellent -- they accommodated special dietary needs of two of our traveling companions without any problems. The liquor, if that's your thing, is all top shelf. The meals were creative, delicious, and offered many choices.

This is not a boat full of casinos, shows, and entertainment. IF you want that, take another cruise. This is a small ship: around 115 guests. We were happier without all the chaos of a bigger ship. There were good talks in advance of the next day's port. Each day was FULL of activities from which to choose, or you are free to go off on your own.
