We chose a tall ship for our first cruise ever, and glad we did

We had never cruised previously because we did not like the idea of a floating city, so the smaller tall ship made sense, especially when it had a cruise that included our bucket list of places to see in Greece.

We did our research and knew what to expect, and the Star Flyer exceeded in most regards, especially the food!

If tons of activity and entertainment is your goal, this isn't your best bet. If peaceful evenings on deck with no sounds but the wind thru the sales, and an intimate, yet casual setting for meals is what you like, this is for you.

Cabin Review

Cabin 2

Perfect location: near, but not next to the dining room, and midship.

Actually preferred this over the larger cabins on the upper deck, since they have constant foot traffic past their window and door. We had more privacy with just a porthole.

Cabin was larger than expected and plenty of storage space.

Bathroom was small, but served its function.

Bed was long enough for me at 6' 4" and quite comfortable

Port Reviews

Patmos

Did a group tour to Cave of the Revelation and wish we would have done it on our own.

Kusadasi

We enjoyed Ephesus more than our visit to Pompeii
