This was our 4th cruise in Yacht Club. Although it still is a good experience we felt that it was not that good as before.

The embarkation in Civitavecchia went smoothly as always. We were in the terminal already before 10 and had to wait until 10.30 that they opened the “lounge”. This is quite understandable. We were among the first to embark the ship but our luggage came first after 4 pm. The security drill is quite a torture in MSC as not all the people now it is mandatory or they time management is rather poor and they arrive almost 30 minutes late and everybody else need to wait for them.

The cabin was good and the butler made all the changes we needed. That was actually all we needed her during the cruise. We are quite capable of walking alone to the restaurant or to the theatre or do not need to make us look important by walking around with the butler. By the week we noticed that it not the butler who takes care for your room but another person who is supposed to be invisible. The poor lady was almost scared to death when we managed to surprise her. She was still very lovely and polite always when we saw her afterwards. The butler herself was one day bringing something to the minibar and just entered the cabin without knocking with her key. That was a bit disturbing.

Cabin YC1

Comfortable cabin with enough storage. Minibar is filled according to your wishes everyday complimentary. Balcony should have better chairs.
