We were first time cruisers, family of 5 trip including Gran and daughters 22 & 3.

The ship is lovely and cabins are clean and comfortable we were well looked after by our steward. Food in both dining room & buffet restaurant was very good with a good selection.

The ports were all excellent with plenty of time in each. However as with most things on this ship Royal Caribbean only seemed interested in getting you to spend spend spend. Shore excursions were hideously expensive so we arranged our own. Two ports were a good distance from the town and for one RC had a courtesy bus but for Madeira they were charging €19pp!! Given the amount of disabled, elderly and children this was not good customer relations.

Ocean View

Cabin 3N

Clean comfortable and functional although we were two adults and one toddler who had to share our bed.

They fail to tell you in the T&C’s that children under 6 are not allowed in the bunks.

Port Reviews

Vigo

We liked Vigo and just had a stroll through the town and stopped for coffee

Lisbon

We loved Lisbon! Beautiful city. We took the hippo trip bus which was great fun

Seville

This is listed as Seville but it was over an hour away from the port and RC wanted €69 pp for the bus journey

Lanzarote

Lovely island we’ll definitely go back

Tenerife

Loved Santa Cruz. Good day st the park then lunch and sangria

La Palma

Beautiful island with fabulous beaches (Black sand) lovely restaurants and quiet compared to the other islands

Madeira (Funchal)

Madeira is a truly beautiful island. We took the bus to the top and the view is incredible. Had a lovely lunch at harbour and visited the Ronaldo museum with a Tuk Tuk ride back to the ship

La Coruna

Wow what a surprise! Who knew the north west tip of Spain was so beautiful. Lovely architecture with great squares edged with cafes/restaurants. Then the cherry on the cake is the beach. Very similar to Barcelona although a much smaller scale.

Will definitely go back.
