Just returned from the Danube river cruise on the Amadeus Queen and couldn’t fault a single thing. Genuinely cannot understand anyone who could criticise any part of the cruise ship. The only drawback may have been the drinks package as it was a bit restrictive with choice and availability only at mealtimes, but that in itself may have been a good thing so as not to get people too rowdy! The facilities on the ship were second to none and the cleanliness was fantastic. The rooms were cleaned during the day and again in the evening when the beds were turned down. All members of the crew couldn’t have been more courteous and helpful and the food was superb. There was always a great choice on the menu and at lunchtimes you could opt for a lighter lunch for those not wanting to have a large 4 course lunch as well as the 5 course dinner. At the end of the holiday we didn’t want to leave. In fact we are determined to do another very soon and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Amadeus Queen.

Cabin Review

Cabin B1

The cabin was fantastic. The large walk in wardrobe was very useful with a dressing mirror. The beds were very comfortable and the shower room modern with complimentary toiletries and hairdryer. The large picture window was superb to take in the views and a real bonus that the top half rolled down at the press of a button so it felt like we had our own balcony. The only minor drawback was when you sat on the chairs at the window the bar across the window was at your eyeline so blocked the view a little. Would be great if the chairs could go a bit higher to counteract this. Apart from that couldn’t fault a thing.
