Sail Date: Jun 2019

My wife and I recently turned 60 and were looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We found it and couldn't be happier. From the moment we arrived we were kept very busy, well fed, and wonderfully entertained. The trip more than matched our expectations.

As with any such excursion, there are bound to be an occasional glitch to the schedule, but the crew was able to improvise and all was good. For example:

We were scheduled to sail on the Emerald Destiny from Nuremberg to Budapest, however an issue with the locks downstream of Nuremberg necessitated us being transported directly to Regensburg where we embarked on the Emerald Star. We missed Nuremberg, but had a full day and a half in Regensburg. From what I've been told, we didn't miss much in Nuremberg and had a wonderful time exploring Regensburg.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panoramic Balcony

The cabin was spacious enough for the two of us, well appointed and laid-out. Noise levels from the passageway or other cabins was negligible or non-existant. The bed was very comfortable, but I think we were so exhausted from all of the excursions and activities that we could have slept on a rock by the end of the day.
