The background on this trip was the family vacation we haven't taken since our kids hit their teens and now both are graduated and continuing their educations, not living at home anymore, and thus this was supposed to be a trip with our two adult age children 23/21 like we have never done before. A trip we would cherish as time together going forward will be nothing but precious.......

My wife, who used to be a travel agent, and I have been on over 20 cruises so were well versed in our younger days on cruising, but have not done so in over 10 years. Once the ships got so big, the itineraries didn't seem to ever change and the product just wasn't as glamorous as the days before the magaliners we decided to hang it up for a while until the family got older and we could afford a higher-end vacation and this is what we thought we booked......this is where the two stories begin.....

We chose Celebrity because of past experience years ago and the more adult style experience it was to offer.....we chose this 10 day cruise as we have never traveled to most of the stops and have never been with our children to Europe as a family before....and after putting two through college we had to try to cut some corners...so we booked a quad cabin....family veranda and figured we could deal in one space given the amount of time we would be off the ship on this busy trip.

Cabin FV

See above....thin walls, but great space for the $$..just hope no small children are next to you if you're expecting an adult experience....

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

we arrived same day and just hired a driver to take us to tourist spots before taking us to the ship..

Florence (Livorno)

We hired a private driver as we have been to Florence before....we went to Voltarre and San Giminiano and an organic vineyard, had a great day!

Portofino

Again, we have been here before so did our own thing with Ferry Boat, seas were rough that day....went to Santa Marguerita Ligure mostly and Portifino...wanted to go to San Frutuoso but they shut Ferry down due to rough seas....

Villefranche

Private driver who took us to Aix and Cassis.....had a great day....
