This was our first river cruise and having read some very different reviews was sceptical, Viking did not disappoint!!

On arrival in Munich found one of our bags to be missing. On stepping onboard the concierge department took it upon themselves to resolve the issue and it arrived next day just before we were due to sail - thanks again.

The ship itself may not be the most modern in fleet but all areas were kept in pristine condition. The food was first class in both the restaurant and the Aquavit Terrace.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom with French Balcony

Cabin A

This was well presented and kept spotless by housekeeping staff. The supply of soap/shower gel/shampoo throughout trip was plentiful.

Port Reviews

Linz (Salzburg)

Very scenic drive to town and panoramic views from the Little Castle outstanding

Durnstein (Krems)

Beautiful Abbey with many amazing rooms and beautiful staircase/frescos

Vienna

Although a short programme of 1 hour it had a variety of music / singing and dancing specifically for Viking clients

Bratislava

Beautiful little capital again with lots of great architectural buildings

Budapest

Absolutely fabulous city with plenty of amazing sights both by day and night.
