Food exceeded my expectations in term of quality, and was some of the hottest MDR food I’ve ever eaten. Windjammer was impressive and only in embarkation lunch was overcrowded ( we had a very relaxed lunch that day in the dining room instead) Realised the big ticket attractions such as flow rider and sky pad are not for us. Pool screen was awful quality, made live action films look like cartoons. Entertainment team lacked any enthusiasm for their role ... ever heard so much monotonous delivery of activities! Really enjoyed the ice show and the 80s tribute band, but the Once Upon A time production show was awful, band drowned out the vocals half the time but that might not have been a bad thing. Loved the Coca Cola freestyle machines but seems there is only one location now on the Royal Promenade. Our first Royal cruise and can safely say it wasn’t our favourite... nothing Royal did wrong (entertainment staff aside the rest of the crew were cheery and efficient) but it’s just not the best fit for us. I’d read reviews saying the ship was now overcrowded but we always found somewhere to sit, eat, relax etc.

Cabin 2V

One of the cabins added post refit. Liked the layout. Plenty of storage. Fab location near lifts but very quiet. Would recommend

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

Very small town, lovely for a walk around but not much to do. Took train into Cork and did some shopping
