We chose this cruise as a great way to explore the Baltic region and we certainly achieved that aim....The tours and lectures meant we returned home having seen and learnt so much!
From arrival at Stockholm to the departure gate at Bergen we were looked after very thoughtfully. The senior officers were ever present and available to talk to. A small niggle about the buffet was picked up by an attentive Restaurant Manager and dealt with professionally and personally by the Head Chef. The food throughout was excellent,we enjoyed both speciality restaurants and found it easy to make extra bookings once on the ship. Viking Sea is beautifully designed with lots of interesting artwork and understated Scandinavian style. The lectures we either attended or caught up with on the cabin t.v were all relevant and interesting/ thought provoking. There was more entertainment than we expected,
we particularly enjoyed the 2 guest shows by Mary Jess and the resident Viking band and singers. The musicians who entertained in many of the public areas were very accomplished.
Very well appointed....particularly the shower room which had a very spacious shower for a cruise ship. Lovely comfortable bed. Good a/c.Cabin was kept clean and tidy by cabin staff who were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.
The ship is small so all cabins are conveniently positioned.
Good tour, interesting guide
Not too much to see with an inexperienced guide....it was Sunday am.
Far too long for level of interest.
