This was my second cruise to Alaska, both on the Solstice, both Inside passage. Traveling into and out of Seattle is always a plus for me. I like the itinerary for the trip. Although I've visited before there is always so much to do. Alaska deserves a balcony room, where you can enjoy the scenery without crowds and looking for a place to sit. There were 6 of us, ages from 25 to 71, and we all found shore excursions to excite and challenge us. I, 71, took the easier excursions Saxman Village, Glacier tender boat and White Pass RR in Skagway. All were very enjoyable and easy for me. The others did canoeing, hiking and whale watching, which from the pictures were real adventures. I enjoy cruising because it does give everyone an opportunity to do "their own thing". We would come together at dinner time talking about our daily adventures.

The cabin was on floor 9 concierge level. Plenty of room for 2 people, 3 would still have been comfortable. Our cabin server, Isamia, was pleasant and always available to help. He kept the room clean and tidy.

We ate in the main dining room almost every night except one. Our first night on ship, we dined at Murano. The food was delicious. The ambiance was impressionable. Well worth the price but the food in the main dining room was just as good. Our waiter, Anthony, was on top of things always making sure everything was exactly as we wanted. Elizabeth, the wine steward, was excellent. Our glasses were never empty. I drank a Zinfeldal, while the rest of the table drink a red. Upon our arrival the wine was on the table ready to be poured. All the meals in the dining room were well planned and delicious.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 3

Cabin C3

Cabin was big enough for 2 could comfortably house 3. Love the balcony. Concierge class has many added perks, the cost is well worth it.
