We chose this cruise because it left from Durban, South Africa which allowed us to tick off a stay at Kruger National Park as well as a visit to Petra in Jordan.

The cruise embarkation in Durban would have to have been the longest, most shambolic and most disorganised we have EVER experienced.

The staff, apparently (or so we were told) were new. All we can say is that they hadn't been trained properly (if at all) or they were just inept. They were unfriendly, even to the point of being surly, they had NO idea what they were doing and didn't, really, even seem to care. Read more
