We chose this Baltic cruise because of the itinerary. St Petersburg was on both our bucket lists, and the price was a bargain. Only regret was we didn't know we could have gotten on in Florida!

We bought Rubles, Danish Krone, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krone (not interchangable) and Euros for a modest cost. Returning them took a huge hit! and even the smallest of street vendors accepted dollars or Euros as well as credit cards. Be sure your credit card does not charge a fee! Capital One does not. Take dollars for tips and Euros for expected purchases, or just all dollars. Remember you have a driver and sometimes two tour guides at each stop so you need a lot of small bills.

The cruise was exceptional. We started with three days in Copenhagen (thru Princess) at a hotel walking distance to Tivoli Gardens and a block from Hop-on hop-off bus. Princess gave us 'white glove' treatment all the way. Some got caught in the SAS strike and Princess helped them all get to the ship as soon as they could.

Balcony

Cabin BA

We were upgraded to a middle balcony which was SO convenient. The cabin was clean and very nice. We never felt crowded, lots of closet space; we were two new widows traveling together for the first time.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

The hotel thru Princess was very convenient to both Tivoli Gardens and the Hop-On Hop-off bus. Clean and friendly.

Stockholm

The VASA museum was part of the city tour. We were very happy with the whole tour. Wish I had a better camera as no flash was allowed.

Helsinki

We did the HO-HO bus, the weather report said no rain, so we got very wet - still had a good time.

Tallinn

Talinn is a 15-20 minute walk from the dock. The old town is easy to get around, no tour busses, so if you want to see old town your best bet is to just walk. Darling little town.

Oslo

It is a ski jump. I live by Squaw Valley, no big deal. Interesting fact, the 1952 record was less then a third of today's record. (advances in technology of skiis.)

Oslo

Old 'real' buildings saved and brought together as a typical village.

Oslo

Enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. It was very interesting and I took a lot of pictures.
