We were very pleased with the ship overall and the staff. They were helpful and service was good. We especially enjoyed the specialty French restaurant. On the third night, my 2 year old grandson had a seizure due to a fever from a possible lung infection at about 4am. We were extremely satisfied with the medical attention that he received from the doctor and staff onboard. They arranged for an ambulance to pick us up when we docked at 9am. The onboard care was excellent but very expensive. The ship arranged for the ambulance to take us to a private hospital almost 2km away. From locals, we know there are reputable private hospitals closer. I am not sure why this one was chosen - it had only 16 beds and a rotating pediatrician. Of these 16 beds, only 5 were occupied. Perhaps it was a private hospital just for Norwegian guests. We were not able to rejoin the ship. Thank goodness for travel insurance as it was very expensive! We had no chance to do any of the tours before leaving. We found the entertainment to be quite good. On previous Norwegian cruises, we enjoyed the dueling pianos but they were not on this voyage.

It had the potential to be very good if we could have returned to the ship but our insurance would not cover my grandson if he returned.
