Alaska was absolutely beautiful. Norwegian Joy however needs to change their name. Ship was not Joyful at all. This ship is not designed for Alaska cruising. Too much outdoor space that was not usable because of the cold. Buffet was horrendous. Restaurants were good. Go Carts were a blast, aside from freezing on the top deck. Can’t even get to the laser tag. Where it is located has locked areas so access to it is impossible. Room was great for our family. The Concierge suite was designed great with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room. The virtual balcony was amazing. Just like a real window. But Concierge service was non existent. Crew is clueless. And to top it off while at the airport we get a call about our luggage. Seems the service we paid for to get it to the airport never worked. So all 3 bags have to be shipped home now. Terrific. First time traveling NCL and will probably be our last. Even the frequent NCL. cruisers said this was the worst ship they were ever on. Most of the crew were original and not new for the repositioning to Alaska crew so they should now how the ship works but Nope. The customer service had lines wrapped around the Polls every night and some brilliant person designed a band stand next to customer service so you have a hard time hearing. Stay clear from this ship until they work the kinks out if you actually want to enjoy your cruise. And Do Not go to the Art lecture where they sometimes have a free raffle to win a print. We went cause we wanted learn about the artist. The guy in front of us rose his hand to ask questions and the staff came by to tell him bot too. But when they picked the winning ticket the guy in front of us didn’t even look at his numbers and say I won. It was so rigged. That was why they probably didn’t want him to ask questions and make it obvious.

Cabin was the best part of the cruise. Great configuration for a family. Virtual balcony was fantastic. So real.
