Amazing city to tour. Lots of great shops and restaurants within an easy and flat walking distance. One of my favorite cities on Earth.

We caught a taxi very easily from the cruise port and went to Coki Beach. I don't recommend this beach to anyone. It was tiny and the locals vie for your money in little groups of rental chairs and umbrellas. The locals were nice enough, but we didn't feel comfortable. We were afraid to leave our belongings on the chairs and the only lockers they had didn't provide locks, you would have had to have brought your own padlock. There was a heavy marijuana smell among the locals that were also at the beach. I would highly recommend a tour or excursion provided by the cruise ship. The island is run down, on the cruise port side, and it is a little sketchy.

We highly recommend Parrotville which is in Belvedere about 10 to 15 minutes from the cruise port by taxi. A sweet local man owns and runs this small Aviary. You can feed the birds to your heart's content and they will land on you and some will even let you pet them and will give you kisses. The taxi stand is an easy walking distance from the cruise port and taxis are readily available to take you anywhere. There is also a nice Beach right inside Phillipsburg. Chair and umbrella rentals were $15 for two people. Phillipsburg is about a mile from the cruise port and has lots of small shops and kind locals. There are lots of places to eat and drink along the waterfront.

This cruise port is great for walking. There are lots of small shops and coffee cafés tucked here and there. There are lots of activities around the local squares and the forts are interesting and beautiful right on the coastline. We found the feral cats at "Save a Gato" and spent an hour feeding them treats we brought from home and petting these sweeties. There are taxis available and the locals set up quaint little booths all along the Cruise Waterfront area. This is a great port to just walk and look.
