Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View

We chose this cruise because Oceania has smaller ships and their food is excellent.

This was a South America cruise going from Lima Peru to Buenos Aires Argentina. Being the month of March in the Southern Hemisphere, we expected and received September type temperatures like the Northern Hemisphere.

Sirena is very well kept still clean and attractive though it will be renovated soon. I like all the colors and schemes she has now but that will disappear with the addition of gray interior decor.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View

Cabin C2

This cabin is on deck 4 which is the same as reception. Nancy gets sea sick so a lower level cabin that is midship(s) works for her.

Since this deck has all windows, the ship needs to make sure they stay clean. I did have to ask them once to clean the outside window which they promptly did.

The cabin is smaller but it was adequate for us.

Port Reviews

Puerto Montt

It was just an ok place. We walked near the port and through a covered market with lots of freshly caught fish.

Punta Arenas

Had a view of the town from a hill. Saw several museums one of which was more of an outdoor exhibit....old machinery.

Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego)

The ride was fun and quite picturesque. We rode through several streams and on the beach. If you are an a equestrian, don't miss it.

Stanley

A well organized tour and the highlight was seeing the Penguins. It was molting season so the birds were not as pretty as envisioned.

Punta del Este

On a bus tour of the town. Saw a wonderful museum that should not be missed. They had a traveling Chagall exhibit there and beautiful paintings.

Montevideo

The winery tour was disappointing and the train ride was over in a flash.
