Flight left gatwick a little late but still managed to arrive on time crew were friendly food wasn't bad. Really impressed with arrival after landing we were put on a bus and taken to the ship with in an hour and a bit we were in our cabin luggage arrived about an hour later.
We have cruised before twice with marella on the dream and discovery 2
twice with royal caribbean legend and splendor of the seas .p&o azura celebrity constellation. and azamara journey.
This was our first time in an inside cabin and we were a bit apprehensive. We found it to be fine infact we didn't miss a window and when we have had a balcony in the past have hardly used it. The cabin was a good size and the bed was amazing. The bathroom was compact but had a glass door not a plastic curtain which we have had in the past. It was kept spotless by Andrew. The only negative was the aircon it is quite noisy and you can not alter it we did get used to it after a couple of nights.
Was really looking forward to visiting this port our plan was to spend our time walking around the town then stop for lunch. When we walked of the ship we were approached from every direction by very pushy some quite aggressive men trying to get you to go on trips so we gave up trying to see the town and got a water taxi to grand anse beach the beach was nice you can hire beds.
This was by far our favourite island and were lucky to stop on both our weeks.
on the first visit we did what most people were doing and waled to princess margarets bay the walk takes about 15 mins its a little hilly in places but very pretty you can get a water taxi if you prefer the beach is lovely but does get quite busy . On our second visit when got a land taxi to friendship bay it only took 10 mins and was totally different it is a beautiful almost desserted beach with just one hotel there are no beds for hire but you can get food and drink in the hotel,
Great trip got to see eight sperm whales really close up and lots of dophins
really good crew on the boat very memorable day.
We got to see the two things in st lucia you hear most about. firstly we sailed into the lovely marigot bay then the pitons inbetween the boat stops at a bay for people to get off and swim or snorkel. It was an enjoyable afternoon.
Went by coach about 15 min trip. Beautiful powder sand beach sunbeds and shade included in price plus one drink good value trip
The first part of the trip you are driven in small open sided buses around the island up quite steep hills the views are really nice. Then you go on a boat around lots of small islands very nice imformative trip.
