The reservation process was very difficult. We had 7 people in our group and had to book 2 separate reservations. We were told that the reservations could not be linked together which made it very difficult to plan and register for events. They said they needed a parent over 21 in each room. When the reservation was booked, we were told it would be possible to link both rooms but that didn’t happen. The boarding process was a nightmare. I know it was difficult due to Mardi Gras but it was hotter inside the port checkin than outside. The lines were very long. Once we boarded, we were starving because it took over 2 hours to board. We found out that the restaurants were closed until 5. Also, we had no idea that we needed to make reservations for some of the entertainment events which were sold out quick. We couldn’t book anything together because we had different reservations. I had to physically go to 2 rooms and book the reservations separate.
Our package came with the unlimited drink package and beverage package for the children. They had many bars on the ship but not enough staff to serve the clients. It would take over 30 minutes at times, most of the time to get drinks. I felt cheated, the idea of unlimited drinks but I couldn’t order in a timely manner. We couldn’t bring water on the ship. The charge for water is absurd. There was only 2 places a child could get a soda. They could go to a bar or a restaurant. So if it took a long time to order mixed drinks, how long would it take for a child to order theirs. Even when ordering at the specialty restaurants the drink orders always took a while.
The overall service on this cruise was horrendous. Especially, the restaurant and bar services.
Overall, the cabin was clean and bigger than I expected.
Owner by NCL and very expensive.
Take a taxi to Mahahual, great day on the beach.
