We are experienced cruisers, approaching 450 days at sea. We've been on the Regal several times, including this past January (Western Caribbean) and this was the Eastern Caribbean.
Both embarkation and disembarkation were a breeze. We were in our cabin to leave our carry ons by 11:15. Our selected time to leave was 8 am. our color/group was called at 7:55. When we got into the terminal to claim our luggage, both pieces were together so no lengthy searching.
First the excitement. While having lunch on the way from Princess Cay to St. Thomas, the ship's announcement system blurted out "man overboard". About 10 minutes later, the Captain came on and said we should have noted that we had turned around and were racing along. The ship had a call from the Coast Guard to pick up two fliers that had to ditch their plane. All's well that ends well. They were in a liferaft and fortunately, the seas were very calm, making the rescue easy. This was our second "excitement cruise" as in 2008, a passenger jumped overboard the ship we were on. Fortunately, we were heading for our home port and a trailing ship was able to pick him up. He was drunk, got into an argument with his wife, and decided to teach her a lesson (MORON!!)
