We chose this cruise because of the destination. The ship was one of the medium size princess ships and was just a good size that you still had heaps to do, but not to big that it was in-personal. The ship on the outside looked like most princess ships, but on the inside it was well maintained, the only drawback was that many of the laundries had broken washing machines and thus it was hard to find one that worked. This ship is one of the first to be Medallion Class and it was great. The aps allowed you to keep in contact with anyone on the ship. We were also able to use it to order breakfast in our cabin very easily. Also you did not have to struggle with the door of your cabin when wanting to unlock it, it did it automatically. Our cabin was on deck 15 forward and it was great, The views were spectacular. The cabin was just a basic cabin as most of the cruise lines. The bathroom was functional, but the shower was tiny and turning around or washing the hair was difficult and I am a thin person, so imaging a heavier set person. The dinning was great. We chose anytime dining as the change in the regular dinning times are to early. The entertainment, especially the production shows were fantastic and well worth going. Unfortunately you had to get there an hour early to get a seat, otherwise you missed out. The service was outstanding and I can say that all staff were 1st class. The ports were great, but some of the excursions were well just not worth the money. Just research them a bit more before you go on them.
The cabin was just a standard cabin, nothing special. They had done some updates and on of those was a bigger TV which is great, but it over hung the area and each time you went out of the door on to the balcony, you risked banging your head on it, so that need to be addressed. The showerer is so small that me as a thin person had trouble turning around in it.
Ft Lauderdale was great both pre and post cruise.
Just walked around and had a look at the town. Great place to buy Tanzinite and at reasonalble prices. Sat in a bar, "Cheers" and watched the world go bye. Would recommend "Cheers Bar".
Just walked around and took in the town. Went to a cafe for coffee and sat on their balcony and hoped that we would not fall through it. Went to a restaurant for lunch and the food was just okay.
Not a lot to do here unless you are on a tour. We did go on the Trolley Tram which runs around the town, but otherwise not much at all.
