Originally got a cruise voucher for taking a time share tour (horrible experience) so wasn’t sure what to expect. We paid extra to upgrade to a balcony room with drink package and stayed the night before in Port Canaveral. From the moment we showed up at RC’s cruise terminal until we boarded the large staff went out of there way to ease the process. We registered /checked in ahead of time and literally were thru security and on the ship in 30 minutes. Once aboard I could not believe how friendly and helpful the staff was. Being a smaller ship we found our way around quickly and were able to get our cabin mid afternoon where we met Dindo a wonderful cabin steward. That evening our waiters Yogi and Anou took great care of us for the duration of the cruise. Bobby the cruise director really made the cruise fun and full of laughter, don’t miss any of the events or shows he is a part of! His entertainment staff is very talented and supposedly RCI is bucking the trend of eliminating a live band/orchestra. Kudos also to Captain Larsen for deciding to sail the first day when a wind event prevented us from stopping at cococay. On the return trip the winds had died and we had a wonderful experience at the island with some excellent beach time and snorkeling off shore. The food on ship and shore was average and plentiful but it was the level of service that was over the top. All in all the crew (everyone from captain to drink cart guy) went out of their way to ensure a memorable time for these “newbies”! Others have bashed the ship for being rusty and dated which it is but the old girl has been around and it’s the crew that makes this ship a great first time experience! Can’t wait to get our feet wet again and yes it will be with Royal!

Very clean, everything worked, folks say you don’t use room but we would get drinks or coffee and sit on the balcony, loved the privacy
