This cruise was to celebrate our mom's birthday. I booked us a junior suite which she loved. The rest of the family had interior rooms. The suite was beautiful however I only saw our room attendent once and that was because I hunted him down to ask for more towels, ice, coffee pods for coffee pot and menus for breakfast room service. These items are typically provided automatically. Water bottles are also typical however they were not provided in my room or my other family rooms. I always make it a point to get to know our stateroom attendent and always have had excellent service however this was not the case. The ship seemed a bit stingy with certain amenities. Half and half for coffee was only available in the main dining room. I asked for it in the windjammer and room service but was denied and provided with tiny containers of fake creamer. We all also paid for the drink package. The drinks are now being served in tiny cups and when you ask for a bigger glass they make it a point to tell you that just because you get a bigger cup doesnt mean you get more alcohol. There also seemed to be a shortage of bartenders at the busy pool bars with a max of 2 at each bar and sometimes just one serving a huge amount of people clamoring for a drink. The ship was very nice and clean on the inside however the outside was filthy and no windows were clean.....they were so dirty you could barely see out. Not once did we see any crew members cleaning the outside of the ship. I have always seen them doing this on other cruises. We wnt to the Atlantis aquarium excursion and We were very impressed and plan on going back. The casino on the ship was very clean and not too smoky. My son came home with an extra $900. Cococay jet ski was a blast like it always is. I will miss the serenity of the island once the new "theme park" is done. I doubt i will go back as i would prefer visiting an island not owned by the ship so they can nickel and dime me more. The changes to Cococay were not really necessary. All in all it was a good cruise and mom had fun which is what really matters. I dont think i would do this cruise again however and am hoping the stingy service was just on this ship and not a new implementation made on all the royal caribbean ships.

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior suite

Very clean and lots of closet space. The balcony is huge and at the very back of the ship. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors quite clearly. The bathroom has a lot of cabinet and drawer space. Good hot water in shower/tub. The new robes are very cheap material and not cozy like Carnivals. Also you dont get the same service as a regular suite such as priority boarding or seating at shows. Beds are a little hard bit the pillows are great
