We have travelled on Many Cruises(25+) over the years and was quite disappointed with the Glory, very out dated and the staff had great difficulty with English, this is the only cruise I had ever been on where It was so difficult to communicate with the staff, our cabin Steward (Dana) she was a pleasure to see each day, very pleasant, cheerful and very efficient, the dining room staff were pleasant, when it was possible to communicate with them, the food in the Dining Room was a bit repetitive and quite institutional compared with our experiences with the Conquest and the Breeze, where the food and service was exceptional, the Buffett on the Glory for Lunch and Dinner was extremely limited you can see the cut backs on food costs, it is ok to be concern with food costs but at least make the items appealing to your guests, it look cheap and tasted cheap. The overall hand sanitizing policy was not enforced on the Entrances to the various food venues, on other ships the staff are quick to tell you make sure you clean your hands before entering and there are usually hand Washing and Sanitizing stations available, there was not much emphasis on this important issue of hand washing to minimize the spread of Disease, the ship clearly needed better management for their Hotel Services, We will definitely think twice before booking with Carnival and never with the Carnival Casino Players Club a huge disappointment they use the Bait and Switch, they will offer promotions and perks with their program and once you board the ship, they have no knowledge of the offers, not a good way to do business.
