This particular cruise was a "repeat performance" for us since we took the same cruise at the same time in 2018. This time, we had a first time cruiser with us as our guest and the three of us had a wonderful time.

It was almost like old home week (actually TWO weeks) since both the head waiter in the Allegro Dining Room (Roberto) and our cabin steward from last year (Jo-jo) recognized us right away. Talk about a memory!

This was our second time on the Regal Princess and it was kind of nice since we didn't spend so much time familiarizing ourselves with the overall layout of the ship. The Sea Walk, the atrium and all of the public areas of the ship are very ornate and offer a subtle, quiet relaxing environment. Things are always happening up on the Lido Deck whether it's crazy, wacky pool games, some pizza or a burger or the fun-to-watch water fountain show each night.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

Our cabin was small and we felt somewhat cramped after having taken seven previous cruises with mini-suite accommodations. But let me be perfectly clear, that was our choice and was no real fault of the cabin itself. As far as the cabin itself, it was clean, well-kept, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom facilities were fine (but also a little cramped) and the balcony offered a wonderful view.

If you don't mind being slightly confined and if money is an issue, the balcony cabin may well be satisfactory for you. But if you are a bigger/taller person who likes to spread your wings a little, consider the mini-suite option for your cruise.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We had a great view from our balcony during the "mid-trip" stop but didn't get off the ship.

Princess Cays

We went to the southern-most tip of the island where there were some very nice rock formations to see.

St. Thomas

The Kon-Tiki trip is a lot of fun. Some time on a private beach, a steel drum band, singing, dancing and a limbo contest made for a very entertaining and quick day!

St. Maarten

Probably the best port for shopping is St. Maarten. There are some really nice opportunities right at the end of the pier.

Falmouth

The scenery & flowers at the Konoko Falls overlook were really nice but the bus didn't stop anywhere else for photo opportunities.
