Done quite a bit of cruising with Celebrity and Carnival, but this was my first experience with NCL. Not cheap, The two week cruise in a solo cabin ran almost 1700 per week CAD.

Money aside - here's my breakdown IMHO on food:

Good:

Cabin Review

Cabin Solo Suite

Compact. You can hear doors slamming all around you through the night.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Middle of nowhere..

Ocho Rios

Very run down part of Ocho Rios.. Done the Falls many times; so this time decided to walk around town. OMG.. hussled every 30 seconds continuously for taxi, bars, and girls.. Nuts.

Harvest Caye

Ridiculous. You get off the ship into this man-made area with a beach, pool, restaurants and bar. You cannot use your beverage package, and meals are not included. Boring and in the middle of nowhere.. This is Belize? I think not.

Costa Maya

Again.. limited shopping in the immediate area. Walk out of the main mall area and again you're in the middle of nowhere..

Cozumel

This is not tourist are Cozumel. I've seen the tourist area which is very nice compared to the old fishing village you get dropped off at with NCL. Again, in the middle of nowhere. Shame on you NCL.
