We were not able to find affordable snow bird housing in Florida, so we took this cruise instead. We had no idea what to expect from the Anthem of the Seas, but as it turned out, she is a beautiful ship with numerous entertainment and dining venues and a great pool deck. The entertainment was much better than that of our previous cruises. You could go from one venue to another all evening. The productions were very interesting and entertaining. The voices of the performers in We Will Rock You were fabulous. There were plenty of daytime activities - especially on sea days. Service was top notch in all areas of the ship. The only disappointments we encountered were with the dining room menus that had been scaled back to the point of boredom over the past few years. Yes, the food is mostly good, but we've seen the same menus now on our past 3 cruises on three different ships. Johnny Rockets, unfortunately, was a take out only, but the shakes were still awesome. We also ate at the Solarium twice. The first time, my husband's meal (chicken skewers) was very dry. The second time, we had the best steaks ever on a ship! Unfortunately, the desserts looked lovely, but they were tasteless due to the absence of sugar. We had our desserts in the Windjammer instead. Speaking of the Windjammer, we had most of our meals there. The variety and quality of the food were very impressive. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely take this cruise again.
At first I thought the cabin was small. However, the storage space was so good that we had plenty of room. There were numerous drawers, 2 ample closets and large compartments above the bed. There were several shelves in the bathroom, but I would have preferred cabinets with doors to keep our stuff from moving around.
